Digital Pansharpening versus Full Color Film: a Comparative Study
نویسنده
چکیده
Pansharpening is the process to combine high-resolution panchromatic images with lower resolution multi-spectral images. The results have both properties of the input data, namely high-resolution and multi-spectral information. This method is used in novel digital aerial cameras and satellites. We compare pansharpened images captured by a digital aerial camera with full color film images acquired by analog large format aerial cameras. To evaluate the image quality four methods are proposed: stereo matching, edge response, noise estimation and classification. The comparison reveals that digital sensed images are in advance even though these images are generated by pansharpening.

Satellite image pansharpening by chrominance propagation combined with kernel interpolation
This paper describes a method for propagation-based spacial interpolation of missing color information on satellite images. Most of the land-observation satellites produce two types of imagery for every scene multispectral and panchromatic. The first kind is characterized by lower spatial resolution but higher spectral one, while the second is a graylevel image at higher resolution. In order to...

PURPOSE To analyze brightness, contrast, and color balance of digital versus film retinal images in a multicenter clinical trial, to propose a model image from exemplars, and to optimize both image types for evaluation of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). METHODS The Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2 (AREDS2) is enrolling subjects from 90 clinics, with three quarters of them using digital...
متن کاملImplementation of Nonlocal Pansharpening Image Fusion
This paper focuses on the implementation of the pansharpened image fusion technique proposed in the companion paper [A Nonlocal Variational Model for Pansharpening Image Fusion, SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences, 2014, to appear]. Pansharpening refers to the process of inferring a high resolution multispectral image from a high resolution panchromatic image and low resolution multispectral one. ...
متن کاملDigital versus film Fundus photography for research grading of diabetic retinopathy severity.
PURPOSE To assess agreement between digital and film photography for research classification of diabetic retinopathy severity. METHODS Digital and film photographs from a 152-eye cohort with a full spectrum of Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) severity levels were assessed for repeatability of grading within each image medium and for agreement on ETDRS discrete severity level...

The aim of this study was to compare mean glandular dose (MGD) in all full-field digital mammography (FFDM) and screen film mammography (SFM) systems used in a national mammography screening program. MGD from 31 screening units (7 FFDM and 24 SFM), based on an average of 50 women at each screening unit, representing 12 X-ray models (6 FFDM and 6 SFM) from five different manufacturers were calcu...
